took a walk around the UT dallas campus before my flight home- gorgeous campus- it's amazing what campuses do with their outdoor architecture when you can sit outside for most of the year.

Close the SOA/WHINSEC protest rally & funeral procession today. Culmination of which is a funeral march and we place crosses of those killed by graduated or suspected grads of the SOA. ita was an incredible woman- also in homage of beth ford who always writes ita's name on her cross- but was running the philly marathon with her students run philly style the same morning. all in all- great weekend in georgia.

romantic dinner for 23 at ruthann's in columbus, ga. my date- carla- alum and amiga currently- later we had a sleepover and chatted about the joys of a volunteer year. what a good egg.

the '98 sable is officially dead. needs a new transmission- and i need a car down payment. so, it was time to clean out the trunk and get rid of it. pretty monumental- considering it's the car i learned how to drive on- went to empty the trunk- found, among many other things, these christmas wolves that used to be my grandmothers. WTF.

was able to sneak in a dinner with amy & bridget while in dc for a conference- and able to check out how much 2 yrs in nyc changed amy from her license & new catholic law ID.

kelly & i discovered the "check in" feature on mobile facebook- from our geographic location- we could check in to the lankenau hospital heliport. it was awesome. and we found someone else checked in there- if you are landing at the heliport- you should probably be focused on something else besides checking in on facebook...

on sept. 10th- fr. lannon announced that he was leaving SJU at the end of the year to assume presidency at his alma mater, creighton. since then he's been in and out of town on a victory lap of sorts and getting things figured out in omaha. tonight, SJU license plate 000001 was back in the garage- the tower is still my favorite representation of sju.

headed to the keswick theater to see great big sea- newfoundland's finest (and perhaps only...) import. they had these huge plasma screens with weird projections on it the entire time- seemed like a "we're middle aged and we saw lady gaga do this" type of move...weak.
