friendship bread

took my staff out to lunch at an ethiopian restaurant. got cool seats & delicious food. and i learned that injara means "friendship." i ate a lot of friendship and then promptly took a nap.

parting of the red velvet sea

brett is converting to catholicism. the "last lutheran supper" required all guests to bring a biblically related food to the feast. i attempted to make red velvet cupcakes for "parting of the red velvet sea" however, i could not find red velvet cake mix at the store and i quickly lost motivation after a long accepted students day and mob of passover anticipators at the grocery store. regular cake with red food coloring was the next best- particularly because then courtney could enjoy them.

this is the most productive thing i did at work on friday.

my favorite meal after seeing "the art of the steal" about the barnes foundation. i love the barnes. come to city avenue and see it in it's natural habitat before they whore it out to the general public on the parkway. i also learned more about dr. barnes being an asshole. it made me love him more.

the greatest sign i have ever been blessed to tri-finance. it finally went up this week. if you have not seen the google video "iggy goes to college" do so immediately. you will not be disappointed.

things i never learned

this key chain reminded me of beading in bethel. i never mastered earring making, however, i think i could have made this keychain. or at least bought it at saturday market. i noticed this while sitting in a program at work about getting internships- where the presenter also mentioned that doing a year of service would be good if you could not get a real job...it was at that moment that i felt like the shark bottle opener key chain. it should be noted that these are also not my keys.

homeowner

greg jones bought a (town)house. this makes him think that he is more mature than his two older siblings. this may be true. his house comes with patriotism and really ugly carpet that i ripped up.

2 in a row of murphy, however, he is extremely photogenic and cash was anti-photos. he acts like you are trying to steal his soul and refuses to pose. murph & i relaxing before taking my grandmother out to lunch. i later learned that he is not allowed on the bed. i did not say i was a perfect dog sitter, just that i love it.

back to my roots of 1304 gibbs ct this weekend to dog sit for my parents while they take in the sights & sounds of doylestown, pa for their 32nd wedding anniversary. this is what i was greeted with upon arriving on friday, murphy ready for some attention. i love dogs.

purchased my ticket for the annual jvc fundraising dinner. even if i was jvc: northwest, i can still represent in the east, it's the least i can do.

came home from chicago with a ton of mail, included a FAB birthday card that is in fact my favorite governor. i placed her in my bathroom mirror with my other card of it's kind, of mr. warhol. in the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes...

jaspa dinner at loyola chicago in their original library. it was a beautiful room and there was a cocktail hour followed by a 4 course dinner with wine pairings. the jesuits know how to do it up

bored

i'm getting bored in between interviewing people at the placement exchange. the most surreal experience ever, thousands of people trying to get jobs interviewing at little tables 3 feet apart from one another. makes my phone interview with huge delay and across 4 time zones seem normal.
